I understand that the GC2-D2A, DMS, and D2B ICs are essentially the same in their operation, but I'm wondering why DMS is named in a way that breaks the pattern? We have D2A, D2B, D2C -- and DMS. Is there anything different about the DMS rev. chips that made them be labeled differently than the others?

I ask this because I got a DMS chip in my Wii (just opened it last night), and while I know I can use yaosm (and plan to use it) with CG2-DMS chips, Im curious as to the naming irregularity and any other things I should be aware of.

Thanks.
