I am a newb. therefor I'm posting in the newb fourms.
I have an xbox360 with a broken DVD-ROM, and 'm going to buy a replacement drive... I've searched high and low on these boards, but I have found none that could tell me exactly how to flash a drive to work with my 360.
Is there anyone that could lead me in the right direction? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

What is wrong with your old drive? As long as the circuit board in the drive is good just buy the same model drive and swap the circuit boards. No need for any flashing.
BUT, if you want to flash I suggest reading through the pinned topics above because even though you said you have searched all you answers have been given ten fold over in these forums and in the good tutorials that can be found here.
