Ok so I recently flashed my samsung ms25 dvd drive with the ixtreme firmware. Now in order to copy games I'm supposed to use the activate.iso to put it in 0800 mode so windows detects the drive. I'm using the unboard sata of my nforce 410/430 mcp and I know the bios detects the drive since it shows it on bootup. I've burnt the 0800 disc 4 times using both imgburn and clone cd and on both dvd+R and dvd+r dl and still windows xp wont detect the drive. Any thoughts?

iXtreme doesn't work with the 0800 disc. Use xtreme firmware or the special 0800 firmware.

also, after flashing the MS25, it now becomes an MS28 (as the firmware is based off a MS28) so you will need to use a VIA 6241 PCI card to connect the drive to your PC
