Hey guys,
Lately i have been having problems with my xbox 360. Whenever I play a game, 10 minutes into it, my xbox 360 freezes and a checkered pattern appears on the screen. When i reboot the system, it freezes on the splash with a checkerbox pattern. Other times, my xbox 360 gets to the dashboard and freezes displaying white and pinkish-red vertical lines down the screen with a loud beep.

Any suggestions, besides sending it to M$?

If it's under warranty send it in. It'll get the RRoD in no time.
What you describe are the first signs of a dieing system.

Would cooling the GPU with better cooling system, and doing an x-clamp replacement fix it?

Probably a problem with the video decoder chip. I would send it in if it has a warranty.

If its under warranty do not try to fix yourself...

Just send it in...

If its not you have to do xclamp and penny fixes (as this could be a memory issue as well) but those are usually not permanent.
