Yeah, i was really surprised when my dad told me what year it was. He said it had only one owner and it was an older lady.

I see you have a "new car scent" airfreshener. Do the seats smell like old person pee?

jk

Thats a great car for a first car.

Man damn! You got my car, I anted one of those so bad, but I couldn't find one in time, so I settled for my 92' Tempo GL 5-Speed. I love Manual transmissions. Civics are so nice, Im gone to buy one in September. I think you should add some Performance parts to it. You into Tuners or anything?

a turbo.

you should drop a B16 lump in it and turbo it, slam it on 16's then roll around in a nice little sleeper.

does look in good nick for it's age, what colour is it acctually? there are some really nice purple highlights on the front.

About how much would i be looking at for the B16 and turbo? I dont want to spend too much on this car because my dad said this is my "learning" car, and i will get a better one for graduation (in 2 years).

And the color is like a deep maroon / slightly purple. I'll get some pics of it from the side soon and maybe they will come out with the actual color.

Those are always the best finds. My dad had a 1990 Accord that was great until some fat black women sat on the hood in NYC.

Yup, they are good finds. He got it cheap too, around $2,400.

I feel sorry for the Accord sad.gif

lol a fair whack probably, try some civic forumsfor info you would find lots there.

its really more something for a real tuning enthusiast.

if you want to up the power a bit then simple things like a proper exhaust system, performance air filter/induction system, getting the ecu chipped would see you good for maybe 40-50 bhp. It's a shame your lump isnt vtec sad.gif

first things first though would be wheels and suspension laugh.gif

Man....Thats a lot of things to do. I'm gonna stop being lazy and go get a job now laugh.gif

I'll prolly need to speak with you over IM or XBL sometime, as im fairly new to the workings of cars. All i know how to do is change the brake pads, tires, and oil biggrin.gif
grim_d
you should hit up some civic owners forums, there are certianly plenty of them and will give you plenty of info specific to your civic.

I did that, and learned alot, but for right now i think im just going to go with upgrading the I/H/E and chipped ECU for now. I'm not really up to doing all the work to get in a turbo at the moment.

On a good note....I just drove my car for the first time outside my neighborhood!!. Man, standard cars are so much more fun than auto laugh.gif

Alright, my dad just told me that its going to be my car if i complete this school year with good grades

And yeah, im probably going to get bigger tires. Mainly because those tires that are on it are expensive and i wont have money to replace them when i need new ones

not at all the last thing you want here is something like a mustang, tax will run you £185 a year (until 2010 when it will rise to £200), at your age insurance would run you about £2000 (that's being generous), and petrol would just be a joke, as a daily driver it would cost you about £100 a week.
commandersafi
Yeah, insurance is going to be really high...my parent are prolly going to make me pay insurance sad.gif

I dont have to worry about gas though cause my dad owns a gas station laugh.gif

If the car is paid for, you will not need collision unless your folks want to have it. Liability can be had for $300-600 every six months depending on the limits of liability, geographic location, and how much you shop around. DO NOT TAKE GEICO, ALLSTATE, STATE FARM, etc just because they have good advertisements and are big. Go online and get quotes.
My daughter is 19 yo, has had three wrecks (none were her fault per the tickets), two tickets (failure to stop at a red light and illegal uturn) and a six month suspension for underage drinking (not DUI). She pays $500 every six months for the lower limit liability with a smaller company. Geico wanted $1200 and Allstate wanted $1350 for the same coverage (the exact same coverage). Through a local independent agent.
