Ok, I Have some questions regarding hooking up internal fans, not through the dvd drive, but by soldering, only problem, I don't know which wires to solder?

On my XCM air cooler, I have 8 black wires, 1 red and 1 yellow.

On my air tube (chameleon) I have a red and white wire, leading to the 12 pin connector thingy (8 black, 1 red, 1 yellow)

On my core cooler, I again have 8 black, 1 red, 1 yellow

And one final stupid question, That metal shield on the case side that covers the motherboard, is it neccesary, because if it is, I have to cut through that also?
