I bought mine for the PS3 and 360. Guys at FYE was like why on earth are you buying both versions. lol

PS3 version for the better graphics and faster loading and the 360 version for multiply.

I will pass on this game. Not into the adolescent wanna be bad boy games. I just don't get why people love this game so much?

I not only haven't bought it, but I will not be buying it. Not my sort of game at all....... drive round, get out of the car shoot people.........drive round, get out of the car, shoot people........repeat ad infinitum.

GTA has just been stagnating for years. They polish the graphics and add some new missions to drive round in the car, get out and shoot people, and then they release it as a new game.

I guess it's the same people that buy GTA IV as will got to the cinema to watch Rocky V and enjoy it.

Dude!?!? Have you even played the game? The game is known for its storyline, first and foremost. The icing on the cake is driving around and exploring the city (like a rpg).

I don't even drive around and kill people. I love the storyline, flying around the city and skydriving.

The game is unbelievable. And if you don't like it, then it's because you can't afford a next gen system and the game like me ;-)

Won't buy! Doesn't look any different than the last three versions of GTA I've purchased and played.

They need to change the formula. I mean Vice City is some Italian mafia, then San Andreas some black gang member and now GTA IV The Russians in New York. Could they at least try a different formula instead of the underprivileged minority gangster making it big time.

I love the other games, I love movies in this genre. I understand the attraction of the storyline and the sandbox.

It's all just so old, the same! It's dead and tired and I'm sick of it. And the multiplayer (I admit I haven't seen it or played it just heard about it) sounds like some lame remake of multiplayer in Kane and Lynch which wasn't very good.

I grabbed mine from Best Buy yesterday, there were plenty of copies available.

The game is freakin awesome, and free roam multiplayer is definitely FTW!

I love when ppl haven't even seen the game in action, let alone even played it, yet are quick to say the game sucks.

PS: I've never seen the first Godfather, but it totally sucks. It's the same crap, somebody dies, someone talks, somebody dies..

well i think it's much better than those overrated Halo3 crap and it finally beat Halo3 in sales to it appears from article on this website.

but anyways more on topic to your question.... i think reason they like it is cause the characters are pretty good but driving around and goin on missions to whack people is nice... basically the driving and shooting etc is the best parts.

but with that said...

i think MAFIA 2 will still be MUCH better than GTA4 is in my opinion.... cause i still like MAFIA (on PC, the game from 2002) over any of the prior GTA games.

MAFIA does that 'mob movie effect' to perfection and i think mafia's characters are more interesting to vs GTA's as there more sophisticated etc etc and i like weapon feel much more on MAFIA to vs GTA series in general.

I probably wont pick up gta 4 (maybe when I can get it used for cheap) but I do plan on renting it soon here for my 360. Im not a huge fan of the sand box type games and get bored really fast with them. Plus I have other things I need to spend my money on (like prom, that pretty much is gonna clean me out )

change styles lol gta has been a gang war car stealer blind insanity volience sense gta1 if anything they took some stuff out rember the chop shops in the first gta there not in any of the 3d games. and it wasent until gta sa did they bring back the gang wars from the old 2d games. if anything they have been going back to the original games in terms of features yep 2d gta games where online .

Dont you see that 4 times as many people than the people who said they would buy it on PS3 wouldn't even buy it all, also seeing that XBox 360 is currently outselling the PS3 explains why the Xbox 360 version of GTA is selling better. I'm not trying to turn this into a console war discussion either, just throwing out the facts.

Another thing I noticed was that the 360 version is getting way more hits than the PS3 version on GameFaqs.com, a completely unbiased website

i have to say, i am impressed with the new style of shootouts and more of a realistic vehicle control. im sure i will find more and more that has changed from previous GTA games as i play. they really have stepped it up with this one. and the graphics are amazing...too bad i have no HDMI option

I think I'll wait for awhile to see if prices come down, the blu-ray takes off (it may have won the war, but it really hasn't taken off). Maybe even the next next gen.

Never in my life will buy a game like that, I have my reasons:

1.- I don't like it
2.- I dislike it
3.- Is so popular between the adolescents and kids
4.- It's viral campaing is making me nuts
5.- The exibition for the retail stores is so cool, it's a shame it has the stupid new protagonist and the name of the game on it
6.- The only thing I like about this series was Radio Espantoso in the Vice City version

I haven't liked the GTA games since GTA1, I just don't find them fun. Reminds me of movies like Independence Day - All show, no substance.

This is a silly pole no one is going to vote for the PS3 version from xbox-scene.
That being said Rockstar did some clever stuff there to get the 360 version working so well with no hdd caching. I kind of wish they made it optional.

I know a lot of people like them and I think they are ok, but the actual gameplay is a little weak and if it did not contain adult subject matter it would be quite forgetable. They can be enjoyable to play but nothing specal, I will take a pass on this newest one at least for the time being

well I never played any of the other GTA'S so i'm having fun with this 1 :-)

Except for the fact that the 360 has the higher resolution of native 720p and 2xAA, while the ps3 has 640p and no AA. That would lead me to believe that the 360 version has the better graphics.

Just bought it Saturday, but haven't played it yet. I just wanted to get it before the GOV. tried to pull it off the shelves or make them change the game some how or what ever stupid thing they could come up with. I do look forward to playing it when I have the time to get sucked into it though.
