Going by serial number, i can only find a 50% chance of which drive my console has and 50% chance of whether the pins are cut. So i guess i will just have to open it. If anybody has a pic of where to actually look for the drive model and where to look for the cut pins, it would be greatly appreciated. Or possibly a site which has a tut posted.

THankyou very much for taking the time to respond. I used the wiitracker which is what gave me the 50% chance for both, one way or the other. Unless i am missing something in the link, i am having a hard time actually locating a picture of where to look for the model of the drive and which pins to look for ( and what a cut pin looks like vs an intact pin.) Maybe i'm just a little spoiled from the wealth of information available on the net for the 360.

opps. Scratch that. I wasn't seeing the pics because i wasn't registered lol. Looks like the cut pins are 7-8-and 9 in from the right hand side on the lower portion of the chip? Thankyou!
