In short, it won't work for me.

Drive Scaned:
1: XTREME Pri Master
* here I power down my xbox 360 *

Choose one drive: 1
Port: cc00, Master/Slave a0

I don't get the port error (which I've read about) that I'm supposed to receive. This even happens when I unplug the DVD drive entirely; not like it would make a difference. Just doesn't make sense to me.

I'm using the VIA 6421 sata card which I read was approved for this. I'm also using a bootable usb with iPrep. The moment iPrep opens I use the command: mtkflash w /m /sata ix.bin . The ix.bin is the hacked key/fw that was extracted from my 79FL by grim.

I prepped my USB drive by formatting it (with MTKFLASH) with iPrep. Then (at grim's instructions) I placed MTKFLASH, MTKFLASH.typ & IX.bin in the main directory of the USB drive.

I'm definitely doing something wrong here but I'm really not sure what. :[

And yeah, I disabled + unplugged all my hard drives, floppy drive and optical drives before booting into iPrep.

Thanks in advance. smile.gif

to be honest, i dont see what you problem was. what you seen wasnt a port error, it was just a print of what port MTKFlash is looking for the MS28.

did you actually try turning the xbox back on after 10 seconds?

Port: cc00, Master/Slave a0

Is the port error that people speak of, as Scuba said, you needed to power on approximately 10 seconds after seeing 'Port: cc00, Master/Slave a0'
