I was looking at the Dynamat mod on engadget and someone posted something about how dynamat is for lower frequencies or something and he posted a link to some better products
I was looking at Spectrum and on the description it says
Anything you place in front of the heat source will help reduce or slow down the heat. Spectrum will help reduce heat to a small degree but is not specifically designed to do so. Any heat reduction noticed from Spectrum is purely a side benefit, not an intended result.
Suggested thickness:
40 mils (1mm) minimum
80 mils (2mm) is better
120 mils (3mm) is ideal
I know this stuff is for cars but do you think it will work on a 360?

Might help to wrap some around the dvd drive, and also on the top of the casing inside, making sure your not covering any holes for air to go inside.

imho it sounds like it would be a insulator. also remember, there is very little room between the rom and the gpu heatsink, maybe at most 2mm??
i just don't see a reason to use this but maybe i am not seeing what you are thinking, could you explain your purpose more?
