Are there any 12v sources that do not require to solder? (except the dvd power, i dont want to brick it)

If you don't mind drillng you could add a 12v line from a seperate power adapter.. Like one of those multi adapter transformers. Just drill a hole in the case and use a 3.5mm power jack adapter.

seriously, if you have a steady hand and a small enough soldering iron, it isn't hard to solder (well, it takes a while to solder well, but if you are just soldering to the 12v, it is easy)
