I had an idea for a mod and i dont think anybody has tried it what i want to do i hook my pulse vu 2x up to the leds in my Hdd i know this has an issue of the wires running into the hard drive so i came up with a simple solution a plug. im thinking that if i use a small plug like the ones use for the rumble motors in the controller it might work and recess it so that the whole plug is in the HDD but still able to unplug keeping the ability to remove the HDD. This idea came to me while i was at work so as soon as i got home i started to work on it here are some pics i got it installed and everything works ill put up a vid tomorrow

i had a minor problem with this when i plugged the hard drive into the console the lights would stay on instead of fade after a troubleshoting session i found that the ground wire from the pulse VU2X was being grounded to thhe metal housing inside the HDD a little hot glue and it was fine.

Good idea. I am going to be ordering a VU 2X shortly, this is definitely something I will consider when I install it!

Amazing! I did this a few weeks ago for rapid fire. I had one end going to my solderless bread board and the other end soldered to my controller.
