It failed stealth checks with xbc v2.8 and shtrom v3.4 (xex media id check)... I've read that it passes with abgx v0.9.4 and mulleter, but I'm unsure about this one... could it be a new form of security?? or something else??

I bought the collector's edition and I manage to create a backup. I used a kreon drive + XBC 2.8 as well

I bought the regular version and used a sh-d162c along with xbc 2.8 and it passed the "xbc" stealth check but failed schtrom 3.4 stealth check. So I ripped it again using schtrom instead of xbc and had the same results. A pass with xbc and fail with schtrom (xex media id match). So if you only checked with xbc, then you won't notice.

I do use XDVDMulleter to do a stealth check besides XBC and it seems ok. Well my backups are working fine so far. I use SH D162D and a LiteOn DH40A4P.

Well I'm curious to know if it will pass with schrtom 3.4, cause the threads i've read trying to figure this out seem to say it passes with xdvdmulleter and xbc but not schtrom... if you still got the iso try a stealth check with schtrom... it seems to do a better job anyway

stacker69
Well that's weird. My backups work fine and it passes the XBC and XDVDMulleter stealth check but it fails the ss and dmi test with schtromV3.4

I like using XBC v2.8 myself. Because it's latest and it works so I'll stick with it for now.

BinkS
Well if this is common with all bourne conspiracy backups, there should be some more threads popping up regarding the issue... there's something going on here, because I don't think it should fail the "ss and dmi test" since the iso was made from an original... i think

Clarify. Earlier you said you ripped it your self from an original....
stacker69
I even backed up my original Bourne game with Schtrom360V3.4 and the stealth still failed so I'm not sure whether I can rely on Schtrom doing backups.

I'm sure I made it from the original. I said "I think" because I was questioning my theory on the "ss and dmi test" not passing and that it should have, because it was made from an original. sorry lol
StrictPuppet
OK, it was a little confusing..
klewan
would be interesting to get a set of DMI/PFI/SS for more in deepth science smile.gif
coz maybe its only a bug in schtrom smile.gif
Eluder
I have this same issue, the backup will pass with XBC and Mulleter, but not Schtrom.
One thing I've noticed is that the XEX Media ID is listed as all zeros in Schtrom, so my guess is Schtrom is simply reading it incorrectly, so it's most likely a bug in the software and not an issue with the backup.
klewan
hmm ok when XEX-ID is 00000000 in schtrom and not in XBC/mulletere etc.. it looks like a bug
maybe with the XEXFileOffset or thing like this
stacker69
It has to be a bug because I haven't had any problems with my backups.

Thread closed both user accounts involved have warnings added.
Don't use XS for exchanging stealth files.
Don't remake the topic.
Other people with the genuine game backed up have no issues.
