No it's not! I don't even get why they put that in there, It wasn't even funny. Maybe if the game wasn't full of these lame jokes, it would have fit on a regular DL DVD.

You even misread the Ad.
Another classic case of blindly making statements you have no idea are even remotely correct. Non PS3 owners have a habit of this.
1. You don't know the length of the install.
2. You don't wait 15 minutes (assuming it is) every time you play the game. It's a one hit thing. Personally i don't mind.
3. Don't worry about swapping discs on MGS4, you will never be playing it on the 360.

The Ad in my view is indeed a dig at MGS1

I'd say it's a shot at multi-disc games in general. It can NOT be a shot at Metal Gear Solid 1, as it was a single disc game.

MGS was on 2 CDs. Kojima has already expressed his distaste for multi-disc games when he was complaining about how Blu-ray was even too small.

MGS was 2 discs......

you switched about, after the level 7 key door i think, before the hot room.

even the remake on the cube was 2 discs.

Ok, clearly I've been smoking some good shit or something, because I could've swore it was 1 disc, but my old PSX copy is staring at me now with a giant "2 DISCS" on the spine... don't I feel stupid

Some people just seem to get worked up about every little thing. They are just dopes.

After seeing where in the game this conversation takes place, I can pretty much confirm this is making fun of MGS1. There are actually quite a few jokes in the game that are made at the expense of its predecessors.

The game has some great humour in it and it is not afraid to make earlier MGS the butt of the joke.

I cannot wait to play this game! I've just ordered my first ps3 and I got MGS4 for free with it. It looks amazing!
