Got mine (LE); looks quite different than your PAL version. I'll need to get to a camera and take some pics for everyone. I also got the LE game guide and the exclusive artbook from gamestop.

Just got MGS4 and was very exited about it. Altho the graphics are great, I don't find it to be as good as a game as I thought it would. I guess its because I never played any of the other MG games. My son like its but I thought it would have more action in it. It's mostly a story game with a lot of cinemas in it. Was hoping it would be more like Vegas, but still a good game.

I'm not very impressed with the lack of save option, there is one but it only works at checkpoints. I'm stuck at that part were you get the barrell I spent like an hour just now and have to do it all again, I really hate it when game do that it's such a waste of time.

Don't use the barrel yet. Climb the ladder and go round the veranda on the building. there is a rocket launcher. Waste a load the enemy by the barricade in the road using the rocket launcher. You have to end up going round the back and crawling through underneath. be prepared further up before the checkpoint. There are hundreds of people trying to kill you.
You need to take a lot of hits to die.
Game is awesome. Just had to put the controller down to give my eyes a rest.

Ya I don't use the barrel, I'm still stuck there I use the rocket launcher on the laddar but like it's after that I stay left to be with the militia on my side but then theres to many it's just annoying cause there aint many med kits I so wish you could buy them.

I kinda like the online play though, I was annoyed about the signup process (it's the worst I've ever done I mean why two ID's??) but it is a good game just a few things annoy me guess I just have to spend ALOT of time on it.

The online is run by Konami. that is why you have to have the separate ID
You should be able to run through the street to the rear of the buildings and down the alley. Hide against the wall at the end and time your run to go diagonally right along the back street. You will take a few hits but will get through without using any rations.
I always search millitia that I pick off and buildings for items so it takes me longer to get through a game but you get more items.
Stick with it, if you are not used to it it will take 8 hours play to get the full hang of it.
At least the game is going to take some time, which is a good thing (makes it feel better value).

I love getting codec (not cinema codec, tho) through my bluetooth. Awesome feature.

Well I got passed it, I'm in the house bit now woo.

The online MP is top notch if you enjoy stealth based MP, instead of your normal run and gun style play.

I've always been a Metal Gear fan. Damn, wish I had a ps3. Is there reference to the lilo la leau?? haha! I hear that you can get into the metal gear and fight other robots. There's an ipod that snake has? WTF?
I've played Metal gear 1, 2 and 3. I hear the psp one is tied into this last final one as well. Oh man1!!!!

There are references to pretty much everything, as the game more or less ties up all the loose ends. And if the PSP one you're talking about is Portables Ops, then yes; that is part of the canon after all. AC!D, on the other hand, is not important to the story.

you might ask WHY I bought it without owning a PS3? just look at the Amazon.com prices for the LE now.. yep going for about twice the price as they did new, I would have had a snowballs chance in hell had I not bought this thing on release day.
