What shooters are you talking about ?
I know QuakeX, Quake2X, xDescent, xDuke etc all have options to invert aim.

Because we are playing a shooter, not a flight sim.

QuakeX has the option, but when I select it nothing changes...

The only other game I really care about is Duke3D, and the option is greyed out

I always play first person shooters with the Y-Axis inverted (or inverted aim, as the topic poster calls it), flight sim style, when possible. It just seems more natural. If a game doesn't allow it (extremely rare) then I adjust no problem. It only takes a minute or so to adjust yourself to either style of control.

Both XDuke and XShadow allow inverted Y-axix. There is an earlier port of Duke Nukem to the XBox (maybe called DukeX,), that lacks a lot of features, including the ability to invert the Y-axis, perhaps you have that one - if so, download the latest version of XDuke, it's well worth it (and get XShadow too, Shadow Warrior isn't as good as Duke Nukem 3D, if you ask me, but it's still a great game). Remember, you want XDuke, not DukeX, and get the latest version.

There are several Quake ports to the XBox, and at least one has the ability to invert the Y-axis. I can't remember which one this is (I don't much care for the Quake games), but I know that it has the ability to run third party mods too. If no-one else has posted here tonight, when I get back in, then I'll check my discs to see which version of Quake it is (sorry I can't do it now, I have to leave in a few minutes).

Because Inverted Aim Sucks, lol , In real life do you aim high Up to shoot something thats Down low. No , Some Game developers think the same way. happy.gif I Myself Don't like that Inverted Aim At All. Why do people like it? Anyone have good reasons ?
Horscht
I myself like to think of the stick to be my upper body in the game.

press left to "lean" left, i.e. move left.

forward to lean forward i.e. looking DOWN

backward to lean backward, i.e. looking UP

That's a good way of putting it, I've never thought of it that way before.
