Hello,
I'm currently setting up a new xbox in my collection that is modded and has a large harddrive (lba48 formated 32bit clusters) and I want to copy the contents of my F from another xbox (same spec as previous one).
Now I've done this in the past but was forced to Ftp from Xbox1->PC (Large buffer space)->Xbox2.
This is a pain in the arse its very time consuming if I don't several hundred GB free.
Ideally I would like to FTP direct between the xboxs e.g. Xbox1->Xbox2.
Ok so this requires an FTP client on the xbox end. I've tried this in the past using XBMCs built in client and it bombed out from time to time with 'some files failed to copy'. Obviously theres some bug caused by a long file or special character thats causing it to crash.
Today I've found another Xbox FTP client from the usual place called xb-ftp062.
Does anyone have experience of using this client ?
Is it reliable ?
The other method I would consider is Direct harddrive transfers. I know xbhdm (using a pc with the two drives) has this option but as it does not know how to format 32bit Clusters can it read/write the drive?
Again has anyone tried this and is it reliable?
Is there any other method of copying the contents of 1 large F partition to the other?
Perhaps something involving both the drives in one xbox ?
Any wisdom of those that have gone before would be most welcome.
