where does the xbox dashboard save music so i can save my songs with ftp so i can play them up on games like gta

I think it is on E: or the F:. I am not 100% sure though. You should check it!

The files are stored on E, but they use a weird naming convention and need to be registered in a special data base file for the MS Dash/games to detect them.

i couldn't get the app to work i get an error : cant find soundtrackdata but how i can get a cd to work?? i burned a cd-r but it doesn't recognize it sad.gif

E:\TDATA.

Try using cdrw or dvd-r instead of cd-r.

msdash is capable of ripping an audio cd to the folder.

i found a subfolder in tdata and in it it had a folder music i put the song there but i doesn't recognize them

thats because as bomb bloke said they need to be registerede in the database first

what dashboard are you using on your xbox? i found the soundtrack editor works best with evox

If you can't get it to work then you could go the long way and make an audio-cd of the files with Windows Media Player or something and then rip them from the MS-dash.

i got it working 3days ago i coverted them to them to wma and toook an old music cd i found at home and copied 1 track then i used soundtrack to copy all my music files
