Full Version: Pc Boot Disk For Xbox Networking

I have an old laptop that I use to FTP to my Xbox to install games, apps, etc. The hard drive just died. Rather than shell out $30 - $50 for a new hard drive for a PC that I virtually never use, I figured I could create some type of bootable CD-Rom with enough utilities to interface with my Xbox.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Since you can't boot and run Windows from a CD, you would rely upon DOS. (I know nothing of Linux) That means you would need to find an FTP program that runs in DOS.

Presumably you are using another PC to remaster the boot disc, why don't you just network that PC and transfer the files direct to xbox?
