Hi all, new around here and I'm just trying to mod my xbox and have run into a bit of a roadblock. I've searched google high and low and I have just run out of options for help.

When I connect my xbox to the router and try to connect to it through FlashFXP using a suggested default IP address (182.168.2.1?, where the ? is the port number) it will not connect. The xbox is also not showing up as a device on my router settings page, which might be normal but I'm not sure.

Does anyone have some tips for connecting to my xbox through flashFXP? Should I use a different IP address? Should I be using a user name/password? I'm at my wit's end and would really appreciate any and all help.

ftp access is only availabe after the xbox has been modded and not before.

Oh, ok. So there is no way to mod the xbox without a chip or by using a memory card and one of those special games like mech assault? I thought you could flash the bios easily... Well that sucks!
