i ripped my copy of san andreas to my hdd and for some reason in my game my wanted level never increases when i kill a few people,hit/kill a cop, etc.. is there a way to fix this?

If your disk was dirty or damaged there's a chance you didn't get all the proper files. Or maybe you're using a trainer.. I know in XBMC it gives you the option to automatically boot the game up with a trainer, so maybe you set that and forgot about it.

afaik everything copied correctly and i have been trying to get the trainer fro SA to work in XBMC but the overlay never shows up and there isnt an option called "trainer settings" in the context menu

You have to click update trainers list.
