i try to connect to xbins, but it says ftp site is down, does anyone else have this problem?

It did come back online, but it's down again!
I'm blogging the downtime (and uptime!) here.

The one time I need it all year. . .perfect. Guess I'll be checking back with this thread each day until it's resolved.

Havent been able to connect for months.

The username and password info comes up, but in flashfxp ftp it says Connection failed. Ive double checked the ftp address, username and password. Nothing works.

can you connect to other ftp servers with flashfxp? maybe the program is being blocked by your pc's firewall..

does it connect at all to distribution.xbins.org?

you can always try http://xbins.seekandestroy.net. If that doesn't work, you can be certain it's a deeper problem.

flashfxp works fine on other servers and ftp except xbins and the xbmc ftp. Flshfxp says

Firewall looks ok and allowed on xp's fw. What ports does xbins use? just 21? Should be ok on the router too.
