Sorry if I am being a n00b but this is my first modchip install and I want to do it right. Also, please don't bash me because I bought a DuoX3. Yes, I know they are clones. Moving on, I read the online instructions on installing a pin header for both a Aladdin chip and a DuoX2 and something has me stumped. The pin header doesn't fit. Here is a picture to show you what I mean

This is a version 1.2 xbox. The pin header is supposed to install to the bottom holes, the holes to the right in the picture, but there is a extra pin making it impossible to install. Should I just cut off the extra pin?

Don't cut it. Just heat it up a bit with your solder iron and pull it out. Due to the heat, the plastic that keaps the pins together becomes weak, and you can easily pull the pin out. (Just heat the pin, not the plastic)

If you cut it, you will always have a little piece that still sticks out. Due to that, you can't mount the pin header properly.

regards.
