okay, i had my 360 for 2.5 months now. i got it off locally as a modded system. he did the xclamps, 12v mod, fan shroud. well it worked for 4 days, then rrod. i opened the system open, he already done the xclamps and 12v mod, (he didnt tell me, i found out myself). well i redid the xlcamps and did the baking trick. it worked great for 2 months.

august 1st, rrod. did the baking trick, worked for 2-3 days.

august 6th, i did some radioshack shopping. got me some fans, ram heatsinks and a pc fan controller for my pc

i took out my dvd rom outside, i extend my power wire, bought a sata cable (6ft). i redid the xclamp, a snug tight torque on it. i had a fan on the cpu and gpu. worked great for a week. just one freeze during that week. hours of fun

yesturday, rrod on me playing gta 4. i probably was playing for almost three hours. then the screen turned completely black. rtight on, im like WTF FAWK U 360

wat i noticed during these xclamps. if u do too tight of torque on the gpu, u will get artfiacts and a checkered screen within 10-30 mins. im doing the xclamp version bolts on the mobo not through chasis.

right now, i disconnected my exhaust fan. having only a fan to the cpu and no fan to gpu. having it idle. it might freeze within 45 mins or so.

i also had a fan on both gpu and cpu, had gears of war on. just replaying the intro video, the screen starting gettin artfiacts. can too much gpu cooling not good?
