1. is there any list that says which dvd movies are dual layer? so i can get the magic number.

2. can i use a burned dual layer movie ISO? like getting one of those movies, capturing the ISO with alcohol 120 then burning it to a DL DVD and using that to get the magic number.

3.is it safe to use the emergency eject button (or rather emergency eject hole) to do this? im not gunna break my drive am i?

I think all DVDs are dual layer, check around your house, you should have one that is 7.5GB or above.

No, it is there for a reason, but the emergency eject doesn't work for me, it signals the computer I am ejecting the drive.

And WxRipper is pretty n00b, you can't rip stealth files with. I think you can do the auto CRC checking thing with XDVDMulleter, best to get yourself a kreon drive.

i would suggest that you use gladiator to hotswap, cause it is 7.9 gigs.
