I was wondering if there was a consensus best external burner for making backups. I know Pioneer is favored, but that appears to be only internal dual layer burners. I borrowed a friends HP dvd740 and it has burned 1 working game and 4 coasters thus far(using Nero and Clone CD, ran out of discs before I could try IMGburn or other programs). My 360 drive is a Samsung, if that makes a difference. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

So get a Pioneer and put it in an external case.

111 and above is great. 116 will do you fine. 111, 112, 115, 116, 212, 216 are all fine I believe. Wait, is there a 215? I think that is good as well.

Any Pioneer drive will do well.

I was thinking about this pioneer external. Any idea if this will work as well as my 111? The price of it is less than a Pioneer internal and good enclosure.
