I fianlly got my Xbox connected through the hub after hours of it not working, and when I was in the Media Player options, i noticed the SMB was Windows shared folders.

I have 16gig of MP3's in my hard drive that I'd hopefully be able to use on the xbox through the network, now that I have seen this option, I wanna know how but will need basic help (what goes where etc)

This is the default setting but obviously not right

My computer name is Troy, i use the guest account to sign in, can some1 change this code to suit my needs? My MP3's folder (full name on the network is: \troyMP3'S (D)

Can some1 set this up for me so I can just copy + paste the code into my config.xml? Then I can play my music.

Thanks every1 for reading if u did

Try right clicking on the mp3 folder and enabling sharing. (so the hands is displayed under the folder icon)

Enable sharing if you haven't done so.

Add a user to WindowXP/2000 with user privileges. You can setup restricted privileges if you're concerned about security.

-Add a user xbox/xbox
-workgroup name is workgroup1
-share c:\music as music
