Seeking Advice from the XBOX GURUS..
Purchased a working used Xbox 360 motherboard to replace an Ebay 3rod box. New board works fine, yet DVD only plays movies..My assumption after reading through post is that keys need to be changed.
The current DVD is a Hitachchi..Am I correct in stating that I need to extract the DVD keys and flash MOBO?
Or am I heading in the wrong direction? Not sure what new MOBO used for DVD..
Thanks in advance, Russ

You cant flash the mobo you need to flash the drive. If that mobo didnt come with the drive key you are totaly screwed sad.gif

I'm confused if it is working box from Ebay why not just use that box?? Why switch anything?

Havox, I purchased a working MOBO to replace the one in the non working box. I'm trying to use the DVD player from the non working box because the new board did not come with a DVD..So I guess what I'm asking is can I retrieve the keys from the DVD or better yet, Can the be retrieved from a 3rlod motherboard.
Thanks, Russ

You cant get the drive key from the motherboard. You have to get the drive key from the person you bought the motherboard from. If he does not have it or will not give it to you then you may as well throw the motherboard away since it will never be of any use to you.
