Ok So for my new case mod I am adding Blue twister lights and blue whisper max fans.. I want to add a switch that just controls both lights. (Meaning leds in fans and twister lights) So that I can turn them off when playing in the dark if they start to bug me. (Without turning off fans)



I have a couple of questions.

I don't really want to use the connections given I just want to solder them into a 12v source.

Can I remove the nitro switch and just solder the fans to a 12v source? Or maybe just keep the 5v plug on and remove the switch?

Will the twisters work from 12v or only like 5 or something?

Is it possible to wire them to the same switch to control lights?

How do I go about hooking only the lights from the fans into the switch? (Don't want fans to turn off with switch)

Anyone have any ideas on how to do this because I'm pretty noob at wiring.

yes you can remove the switch and wire them into 12v.

the twister should say on the package what voltage it needs, my guess would be 12.

im pretty sure you can run both from the same switch.

there should be a pos. and neg. wire coming off the leds, so cut the pos. from the wiring on the fans and extend it over to the switch.

Theres 2 wires coming from each led in the fans to the middle circle on the fans(soldered). Can I just solder in a wire to those connections and extend to the switch or what do I do?
