so i had an xbox fix with this method and the other day it stop working.gave me error code 0102 so i open it and i find this fuse burn/blown C9D4.so i clean it and redid the x-clamp fix worked for about 4days then bam again stop working.i already did the heat gun and the replacement 3 times.can the burn fuse be the cause of the box not working ?.also if it is how can it be fix/replace ?.

It's not a fuse, it's a capacitor. It's not going to give you error 0102, but it is kind of odd if it blew on it's own. You can probably just desolder it and leave it as is, or bridge the connection...but you may want to wait for RDC to chime in on this one. I know he loves it when people say that

It's not really uncommon for a Cap to go ballistic like that, but ya do need to remove it as it could be shorted and at the least is acting like a Resistor on that voltage line there. The 0102 is probably just a coincidence, and now that ya have thrown the heat gun to it all bets are off as to what it originally was, but it's typically just the crap BGA joints. Remove the blown Cap and then go from there with 0102 'fixes' and see how it goes.

If you can wait a week I can desolder the cap and ship it to you as soon as I am back from my holidays.
This missing cap will most likely cause an 0002 or 0020, 0102 is unlikely but since it overrides the 0002 and 0020 errors I would be on a cold solder joint in the GPU area as well like RDC

Give the thing a reflow if you can maybe you can get rid of 0102 then

if you mean reflow with the heat gun.then i did that early before i posted in the thread.also is it hard to replace/solder.

That Cap missing will not cause any errors at all, it's just a decoupling Cap. What's left of it does need to be removed though so it's not causing a short or loading down the voltage line there.

Heat gunning the motherboard isn't a 100% fix, neither is any other methods that have come and gone or are still in use, some work, some don't, some work where others didn't, and some are still working while others have failed again. It's all a crap shoot depending on the level of damage done to the board, which ya can't tell without some expensive equipment, so it's hit or miss most of the time and ya just have to either keep messing with it until it gets going again, or the board gets damaged to the point it can't be repaired.

Desolder, maybe, but NEVER bridge a capacitor! Caps only function when there is a potential across leads. This would create a short immediately.
