2 on Xenon's

i voted no, but my first 360 f'd up disks withen a week, got a new one then sold it to a friend to get elite when it came out

None. I have a Xenon and a Falcon and neither has RROD on me.

i got my 360 on around august 2006 and man i still cant beleive it hasnt died yet i bought a ps3 incase it decides to soon but man this thing is probably holding on by a thread with me not knowing when its gonna die out but hey the 360 did me good and so is my ps3 and i have that hitachi drive still lol not sure what board model

EDIT: lmao totally forgot our gamercards say lmao its a xenon and its been my only 360 so far so i put no hasnt broke down on me....yet

I have a launch Elite without any problems what-so-ever.

all the returns i have ever done have been xenons... that's about 6 so far.

part of why it's so retarded that anyone even mentions RRoD as a reason to not buy a 360....

nope never a rrod and i owned a elite made in 2007 and arcade and pro both made in 2006 waiting to get me the halo edition soon

1 RROD on a Xenon so far. Zephyr is still going strong.

1 Xenon Arcade box died only last night, this is after little use as it is my second box.
Zephyr Elite still going strong (for now), will probably get an arcade jasper when they are out.

No Rrod yet , my Zephyr is nearly a year old in November still holding out strong if I do ill just get replacement Elite sell it and then get a Jasper Elite I'm not to bothered to be honest I don't play on my 360 much anyway.

I have the Xenon and have had one RRoD and five system crashes recently with Rock Band 2. Originally with the RRoD I added a fan on the CPU and just recently a 50 mm behind the DVD and so far no issues.

now personally Ive had like 3 die on me but iv fixed like 5... I dunno if there so easy to fix tghen why dosnt m$ just fix the xclamps before they ship em?... I know what your thinking more money right? Then think about there 1 billion in losses from there repair sevice...

I have it on 2 xenons.

Xenon - about a year
Zephyr - a little over a year

Elite - about 8 months

Out of all the broken 360's I've either repaired or bought for parts every one of them has been an Xenon. I've not seen any of the others with red light faults only dvd drive issues.

One Xenon with 0102 but I've fixed it and work for now.. and for ever ha!

Second Xenon - my downgrade-test-linux box is with E74. Most harder to fix but will be fixed in my free time

Xenon x 3! Fixed the last one myself, been working perfectly for over a year.

Ive had about 10 xenons over the years crap out on me and RRoD on me, for various reasons...

I got mine the week before the 360 was released and it is still going strong. Maybe I should have bought a lottery ticket instead, lmao!!!!

2 Xenons gave me a RRoD, M$ replaced both.

I currently own a Falcon and it's going strong.

I play my xbox without the shell and I got it 3 days after launch and have never had a problem. I fix alot of RRoD. And from what I can tell, if you smoke in the house or if you keep it in a entertainment set... You'll have problems. I own 3 xbox and I de-shell them all!

I am on my 4th deck. I believe it is nearing the end of its life also as it frequently freezes with extended gameplay. Hope the 5th time is a charm. My nephews lasted three months and was purchased last summer. A good friend of my is on his 4th deck as well. And one fried of mine trades his deck in when there is a price or hardware change. He a got a new one with the first price drop and then another when they added elite with hdmi and his are doin ok but technically he's on his third.


No smoker in the house. sits on a glass shelf by itself nothing within 8 inches of it approximately 2 ft from a sliding glass door that keeps it cool.


Blu Enigma de-shelling them is saving them by dissipating the heat not not having them in an entertainment center.

I still have my launch box, no issues at all..well I guess back in the first year Texas Holdem froze once, that's about it. No other problems

I got my 360 from the Mountain Dew Every Ten Minutes contest on the 19th so it was one of the very first ones and it has had the RROD twice. about 2 months apart from each other while playing COD

I got my Xenon 6 months after launch. I got an Intercooler the same day. I ran it for 1 month then got a Whisper fan, heatsinks for the memory and bridge, and did the RBJTech cooling mods. It ran perfectly for 10 months, then failed. I took a 1 year break from society and when I came back home I got a Falcon and did the same cooling mods to it. Its been 5 months now and everything is good. I can run games for hours and the GPU heatsink is only warm to the touch, CPU heatsink isnt generating heat at all.

when i first was trying to get a 360 in the winter of 06 i think i had 9 or 10 in a row that had the RRoD. Some were ruined right out of the box, others took 1 or 2 days to eff up. I swapped them out, then got exchanges and went to a different store, same luck. Then the 11th one RRoDed on me a few months back, so now I have one with the Benq drive(newer) and hopefully wont conk out on me.

PS This is a great poll (normally I complaining about this poll is stupid, just thought I'd give some positive feedback as to this poll people can actually answer as they have some experience of it).
That last poll What do you think of the new xbox experience was really dumb because no one even had it (most people still don't, only people who've modded their 360s).

I'll just point out that most people who think they have a Falcon often don't - many equate the Elite to the Falcon without checking the power rating.

You MUST have a power rating of 175w on your 'brick' to confirm that it's a falcon.
If it's 203 - it's a Zephr.

Owned a Xenon - From launch date and it died years ago. So I bought a new one and it came with a Falcon; However, this one died too (less than a year of use). I decided to buy a RRoD kit and settled with the one from llamma (nuts + bolts _ Bought 4). Installed the kits and they both work perfect. However, I only tested to see if they played games and turned them off. In the meantime, im going to buy cooling kits to (like the talismoon fans) to help reduce heat.

1 xenon, 1 zephyr, but i have seen ALOT of them from people who bring them to me to try and fix. seen alot of both of these types of systems, a couple of the newer ones.

Who voted Opus?. Those aren't even around yet are they?, and if they are are you saying they've failed already?? . I call shenanigans.

I got my RROD on the first lap after putting Forza 2 in.

I have v1 and didn't have RRoD too. But as some had this problem - mine stopped reading game discs after ~year (TS). Now I have BenQ and it works like a charm

My Xenon died, sold it on ebay and bought an Arcade Falcon.

I thought Opus' were the non-HDMI falcon boards that have been out for a few months

3 Xenon's and 1 Zephyr dead between me and my friends.

1 Xenon = normal RROD, xclamp replacement works but it needs a fan replacement if it's going to last.
1 Xenon = possible condensation failure, RROD, xclamp replacement failed.
1 Xenon and 1 Zephyr = ANA chip failure, will be heatgunned once I get an infrared thermometer.

wouldn't mind if it went out soon, then i would have a better excuse to pick up a newer board with HDMI and simplify my cabling...

I have a V1 and it hasn't RRoD, yet. I love her tho she is a good one.
