Hello guys,
I'm new here but I know you're the best in terms of xbox knoledge.
I recently bought a used xbox v1.6 with akira2 modchip installed.
Now I saw there are 2 switch in the front and I would like to know what is theyr use. Besides I would like to know where can I dowload the most recent bios, how to flash it and what can I do with them. Unfortunatelly all the link I found in this forum seems to be dead.
Please help me.

No, I cannot believe that all the knoledge about this chip was lost. Is not possible.

The external switch appears to be on/off only.
I base that on the picture below which shows only d0 and ground are connected to it.

There should be two jumpers on the chip to select between 256k and 512k BIOS size.
I'm gonna hit the sack at the moment, but I'll do some searching tomorrow afternoon and see if I can get any more info for you.

Their main site is now dead and that's where the install links and flashing tutorials were pointing to.

thank you very much Alex548, this is very gentle from you.
Can you include in your search where I can find the last bios please ?
Thank you in advance

"The Usual Places" will be where you can find the most recent BIOS releases.
I'd set the jumpers on the chip for a 512k BIOS and flash the 1.6 version of X2_5035 to it since that was the last xbox BIOS to be released for Gen 3 modchips.

You can also find a buttload of BIOS files on the Auto Installer Deluxe disc. They're in the Addon packs section.
If you choose this method, you can download & extract AID to your PC. Then use the updater tool in there to add the BIOS addon pack to the ISO before burning to disc.

Now the important question here is: Does your xbox currently work and boot to a hacked dashboard?
If it's in working condition, you can use AID as a boot disc and flash the chip through the AID menu.

Aside from install diagrams, I can't find any other information for this chip online. sad.gif
Well, I did run into your posts on other forums, but that's about it.
