Hey everyone,

Does the wii support high speed (20mb/s write/read speed) 2 gb sd cards? Would it be a good idea to buy a 4 or 8 gb card and wait till nintendo releases a firmware someday?

I dont think it works with HS or was it HC. I have no idea. tongue.gif

yeah, doesn't work with HCSD cards (high capacity sd cards aka 4gb up to 32), but does it work with the professional speed sd cards like sandisk sells?

it shoudl work with the hi speed cards, but maybe not at full speed (they should be backward compatible) which could be useful if you copy stuff to it with a PC then use it on the wii

i wouldnt count a firmware update supporting SDHC, its a hardware issue

just a lil heads up, i bought a 4 gig highspeed for my digicam and it doesnt work in my other sd card readers, only in the one it came with, when i get home ill toss it in my wii though as see if it works in there.

that would be an SDHC card, and yeah, they only work in SDHC devices (the wii is not one of them smile.gif )

the only SDHC thing i have is my phone (got an 8 gig card) i dont even have a USB reader for it, lol
