Trying to get linux running.

I backed up a original king kong, patched it, put xtreme 2.4 on this xbox, it has a hitachi 59DJ, i put the HD DVD 4532 update on, and when i burned the game to a MEMOREX disc, when i boot it up cold, the xbox logo freezes, when i boot from dash, i get a frozen black screen.

Help? bad patch maybe?

Could be either a bad patch or bad media - have you used these discs on your 360 before successfully?
