From Team Blackbolt:
Well its approaching the end of 2008 and Team Blackbolt looks back on what might not be an eventful year for us, but it's certainly been interesting. We recently topped 3 Million user visits, which is staggering. We've had some website issues and we've suffered with lack of updates.
Well moving into 2009, this website will be revamped and made more simple, both to use and update from our end. Also coming relatively soon is the new skin Ellipsis for Xbox exclusive to XBMC, see image below. The skin formally known only as EX (Ellipsis for Xbox) WILL be made, WILL come out and WILL be amazing. While it's still early in development, as it's mainly a solo project by myself as the other team members are off busy with their own projects, I do plan on finishing it and giving it a proper release. So keep checking the site and hopefully as soon as the blog system is implimented I can start to keep you guys updated more often.
Too
f*cking late. We already have
MediaStream that kicks ass.
You should have released
this a lot sooner, or at least
delay its inicial presentation.

That is a bit of a negative comment, at least he is having a go at making a skin unlike a lot of people who reply to this thread. Even if it's to late, I still give him a thumbs up for trying and releasing it for free.

pffft... If you've not got anything constructive to say about the subject, then please don't bother flaming. Team Blackbolt have done some quality work with XBMC skinning,
and they seem to be able to spell as well...
Myself and many others look forward to their future efforts. Keep up the good work Blackbolt!

hell yeah. I have an xbox hooked up to every TV in the apartment!
50 bucks for a DVD player/media streamer?
So yeah, the work is still appreciated, at least by some of us.

MediaStream is gonna take some beating. I trust this will do just that.
I'm so glad this hasn't been scraped.

i welcome another entry in the xbmc skinning area but do wonder with others how this can compete with MediaStream and Aeon.
i have also taken quite a liking to Boxee as well...but xbmc is still my primary av source hands down...

oh yeah! and still with the soon acquisition of a new xbox 360 one of these days, I WON´T sell my xbox. I love to show pictures to my family in the tv and listening to .977 the hitz channell on the internet IN my xbox
wonder if in the xbox 360 I can do that

You guys are right. Sorry, I was having a ruff day. I hope the skin turns up sweet. Besides, a little competition is always wealthy.

As long as it's 4:3 capable I'll be happy. MP3 is pretty much all we have as I haven't seen a 4:3 skin that beats it.

have to agree with earlier post, too little too late, If it is being retro with its look then it should have been out over 18 months ago, one only has to look at whats available now and this quite frankly doesnt stand up !

I'm glad they are going to finish this skin, they do great work with skins. I think this skin will be better then mediastream skin. To this day i still use mc360 skin it's the best.
Who gives a shit as to what other users are saying, You have to try the skin first before you can say it sucks.
wait until it's out and then give your 2 cents worth.
They do this stuff for free on there time. So just sit back and relax if it takes another 4 months so be it.
I'm looking forward to it!

As someone who use to skin, (Clearity-Remix, X-cite)
I know how hard it is to get back to it, Life just get's in the way & before you know it a year has pasted... (college, work)
Glad to see blackbolt doesn't break his promise about finishing this skin, and I look forward to checking this out in the near future!

No, don't release anything till it's DONE!
I must be the only one who doesn't care for media stream. It's purdy but doesn't have any of the views that I prefer for gaming so I either use PM3 or Basics Vision.
Funny how we all have our own personal favs. Of course Ellipse will be cleaner and faster than all of them.
I could see us being so antsy if we didn't have anything else to use but the facts are that Blackbolt has arguably already made the BEST skin ever developed for the Xbox so get off his back because you know you'll be swinging from his jock when he releases his next masterpiece.

I don't care about Media Stream either. I mean - It's a hell of a job, wonderful, smooth, comfy, however I prefer the cleanness of my modded xTV skin.
I am eager to see Ellipsis, no matter how many years we will need to wait.
