I can admire the work put into it.....However I don't see how putting button functions to sticks is a good control scheme.

I also commend the work done its a nice mod, however I have to agree with the previous poster sticks as buttons is not the way to go.

i have to agree with everyone else - interesting concept but incredibly impractical to actually use for gaming - and that is proved quite well with the video - it had me laughing...

Maybe after they finish with the controller mod they can work on their spelling skills.

Not my cup of tea, but damn that is pretty.
I don't so much like the buttons set as a stick either, but someone apparently does like it

.
Anyways, seriously seriously pretty, at very least.

Look at the perspective of the camara angle!!! there was a tripod between my arms that made it a bit difficult to play and record I felt it was more important to show the functionality of the controller then to try and pwn with it.
It actualy works well since you fingers rest in the spot of the bottom sticks there easy to access.. As far as the gaming video if you knew me at all you would know im the worst person at playing games I like watching people play im a modder not a gamer. I have not played Halo in months was trying to remember the buttons I will make a new video with me neice wupping up on some one with it... one other note I was unable to find the nubs for the bottom sticks also so pushing the metal rods are a bit tricky but I think I will have the nubs today. I will also take some close-ups today after work...
And here is the biggest surprise im lousy speller but you know what they say most intelegent people lack other fundemental skills usualy social!!!
We where did not put the right analog up because we did that already on another controller. If any of you have any other ideas for a cool controller post them and we will make them we can make anything..

Well I think its fantastic! and have day dreamed of just such a controller, once mastered that controller would be better then the standard for multi player in game situational response times, to be able to do any action without compromising movement and view control, now thats something to potentially give the keyboard and mouse a run for its money. ( I repeat for all the skip reading turkeys: "a run for its money" not better then).

The sticks don't function as buttons they're underneath like the ultimate FPS controller
(correct me if I'm wrong)

completely pointless. when people create a controller mod.. all they think about is Pretty Much Halo....Halo is not god, If ya want to make a TRUE worthy controller mod.. make so its worth it for pretty much EVERY TYPE of game.

Sorry but 99% of Xbox owners don't like the analog sticks level ala PlayStation style. The buttons on the bottom is cool but I am not a fan of relocating the analog sticks at all.
The Xbox and 360 have the perfect positions for analog sticks. Level analog sticks like on a PS controller are inferior.

Took the words right out of my mouth. One of the reasons why I don't have a ps3 is because of the rehashed dualshock 3 with a cramped thumbstick layout. I would have actually preferred the original ps3's "Boomerang"

WEll from me I give u major props. Finally a true controller mod. I will say sorry for all the lame a$# on this site that do not understand what it takes to mod a controller. I myself might take time to get use to it. Like everything else new the controller will have a learning curve. Yet once u get use to were things are I bet this controller will be easy to use.
So again I thank you for coming onto a modder website and actually do an awesome mod. For once it does not have to deal with watercooling, our I done the 3rod light fix but it still doesn,t work and my parents are to cheap to buy me a new one. I to much of a lazy but to get a job. I thank you for doing what u do best

I've always thought of a controller very close to this one, but with the buttons (actually buttons) where we rest our fingers. My reasoning for this is you never have to let go of the sticks EVER, so jump while reloading or shooting and never have to worry about letting go of the sticks to do any other actions. Nothing I hate more than jumping in a game and have some ass start shooting me, before Ian get my fingers back on the stick.
WICKED MOD BTW

Very much a fan of the controller and great job!
I am a keyboard mouse fan for 2 reasons:
1 obviously the mouse is a superior controller in many circumstances
2 the keyboard puts all the buttons you need in reach so you don't have to take your hand away from any controls to do something
This helps with the second issue, which, honestly, I think is the bigger on consoles since console games are often made to be playable without a mouse pretty well.
I hate the unnatural need to stop moving in order to scroll through inventory or the lameness of not being able to turn while I am throwing a grenade or meleing someone.
I am not so sure about the sticks on the bottom vs buttons, but then again pushing buttons as hard as the face ones with my ring finger might well hamper control otherwise so I can see the move towards sticks.
I do agree that I like the 360's staggered sticks, but it might well be because it's the best I have used. I don't like having both sticks pushed in and low on the controller ala ps3, but maybe the right stick is still low not to make a staggered controller but because they needed to leave room for buttons.
So perhaps even sticks are actually better as long as they are even and high, not even and low...
