Has anyone noticed the new warrenty stickers they are using, that look like the paper seals on copies of windows instead of the metalic ones. Is there a correlation to the new liteon drives with the new stickers? Just wondering as I have seen 2 boxes now with liteon drives and the new stickers, and one of them came back from repair. so btw they are switching old drives with the new ones if you send in for repair.

The only drive Microsoft uses now is the Liteon. So any new 360 or any 360 coming back from repair will have it.

If your looking at the seal just look in the hole on the dvd drive
Red + Black = Samsung
Solid plastic no wires = Hitachi
2 White = Ben q
2 Yellow = Lite-on
But your are right new 360's from retail have the new warranty seal. Repair has been using them for over a year now.

Nope. The last 15 360's I bought all had the new paper type seal.

This is a technical forum, not a general discussion.
There is to be no discussion on here about how to remove/preserve warranty seals. If you open your console, you have voided your warranty, end of story. X-S is not a discussion ground for fraud. Some posts have been removed from this thread, and warnings have been logged to your accounts.
