ok I admit being a newbie to mod'd xboxes and ftping into them is no big deal but this is what I have run into. Ok first I have done 2 of them (1 chipped with a duoX2 gs cromwell, and one softmod) with Auto Installer Deluxe with XBMC as my dash on both. OnceI FTP into it I can upload my music and things but I don't see where it needs to go to actually show up under the Music tab in XBMC. Instead for now mine all show up under the play list. Any advice here?

Also I have saw some amazing demo's and layouts for the XBMC and was wondering if anyone know of any guides on setting up one of these outrageous XBMC layouts? and what about a good place for skins? and where to find out how to apply the skins?

thanks alot fellas. I'm starting to find out more as I discover the right questions to ask.

You can put the music where ever you like. The real question is how to tell XBMC where that happens to be.

Go to your music menu and you'll see the source list (which typically consists of all the partitions the console has, if those don't come up right away press the B button until they do). Hit the white button and select to add a source. Now you can browse to where your music is stashed, and have that specific folder added to the list of other sources.

Once that's done, you can select your new source with the white button again, and choose to make that the default. Now when you enter the music display for the first time on each boot up, that's the folder that'll be presented to you.

Re skins, you can get a few from Blackbolt's site. Bung 'em in XBMC's skins folder and switch to them via the appearance settings menu.
