BTW, i enjoyed reading your "limited editions" thread. i have a customer looking for an official crystal case. you seem to be the man when it comes to LE cases. do you have any crystal cases available?

i found one locally.

many SATA boards don't work properly with xbox. even same models don't always work the same. the xbox times out looking for the HD on POST and you end up with a HD error every few boots. it's bullshit. i order a shitload, test every one with an xbox, and the ones that don't play nice just end up in one of my project servers where they work with no problem.

i seem to have found a good vender and only about 1 in 10 has the timeout error, but i do run across it every once in a while. fortunately for my customers i test them all before shipping.

i started on the RAM upgrades to these 1.0's, but got distracted adding new shows to my navi-x section. i have parts to do 3 of them, but i expect to break at least one of them, so optimistically 2 will be available by monday. FCFS

i got the 250gig hhd. got all my emu's and games too (i don't have every emu out there, only the ones i actually play). updated xbmc. still have 100gigs left.

any chance you have a psu unit laying around? i bought an xbox here and to my surprise it didnt turn on, i moved the psu a bit and it worked for like 5 min and then puff never turned on again.

massaripa...yes. any version. 10$ shipped to the US. just find out which version you need. if it has one row of pins, then it is a 1.0/1.1. i have about 5 of them. if it has two rows of pins, you can most easily identify the version by the video encoder chip on the mobo. if the name starts with an X, then it is a 1.6. if not, there is only one other PSU version it could be.

128 boards....first one finished. one of the capacitors got too hot and exploded in my face. replaced the cap, now it seems to be good-to-go. gonna test overnight, then shipped upon payment. reserved for the dude that asked first (you got an email last night) the second one was good-to-go... now fcked ... i popped the bottom side D0, so that one will go for a little cheaper once i get it fixed, and you will have to use the topside D0 instead. of all the sht that can go wrong doing these, i made the most noob mistake in the book. it's easily fixable though, so no big deal. the third one is a 1.1, working but currently is only reporting 64MB of RAM, so i need to re-flow the solder on the chips. i will keep updates on this thread as i seem to have at least 2 called for with 6 more people interested. $80 shipped each. pinheader and D0 wire installed, but you will have to buy the duo chip if you want it included.

Will those RAM chips for 128MB work on a v1.4 console?

im sure the RAM chips will work on any version from 1.0-1.5
The 1.6s are the ones that just dont have the slots for them.

I've never actually done the RAM mod myself before, but will I need to remove any RAM chips from my v1.4 Xbox or do I just add extra chips to the motherboard? Sorry for all the questions, but before I buy something I want to make sure I can use it.
