hey litspliff that blue metallic box your working on looks excellent dude! i was looking at that same paint not too long ago .

did you clear out the chrome of the jewel to show those LEDs on the mango orange? if you did, what did you use to clear it out? i was able to do it with a few drops of acetone and a toothpick
after it softens up a bit the chrome just flakes off and sticks to the toothpick like a magnet.

correction on the "zinc" xbox....it's a 1.0 TSOP flash, not chipped.

the blue/purple metallic is from mixing paint.
first you dust it with the color, then you dust it with chrome, then you lightly dust with the color again.
it's hard to get it even, but if you do, it looks like expensive car paint.

the jewel on the orange has all of the silver paint.
the orange paint in the "B" and "O" has been wiped thin.
it's actually the interiors of the letters that light up.

Need one? I've got one chillin' in my living room. Pretty sure I installed a duo I got from you on it though...stock harddrive on it that's untouched as well (locked and stock dash/everything).
I have no idea how much these things are going for now a days...

if any of you (like me) buy AS-IS xboxes off of ebay, watch out for this guy. he sold me a bunch of bad parts put together to look like an xbox that powered up but didn't work. he actually wired the front LED to the PSU so it looked like it booted. even this little trick didn't really work. what an asshole...watch out for this shit guys. most broken xboxes on ebay are a good deal, but there are a few dicks....
