I tried to FTP Castlevania Curse of Darkness to my Xbox with Qwix but it takes hours to do this since its a 2.85GB file! How do I FTP my games faster?

It shouldn't take hours, assuming that your network set up properly. Try using a different dashboard on your Xbox. You don't need to install the dashboard or change your mod, just run it as an application.

If that doesn't help then try temporarily turning off the firewall on your PC.

There seems to be a lot of variability in ftp speed. Games where the files a packed into one or a few large containers (Soul Calibur 2, for example) tend to transfer very fast, while games that have many, many small files (GTA or KOTOR) can be agonizingly slooooooow. The odd thing for me is that I've found ftp rates of ~7Mb/sec when transferring from pc to xbox, but ~10Mb/sec when transferring from xbox to pc. Also, I never seemed able to ftp an entire game using avalaunch. It always froze up at some point.

Avalaunch FTP'd fine for me but sometimes froze when i was on it. I get 10mb/s, i guess you could get more LAN but idk.

Put the game in and use DVD2Xbox.

XBMC with samba or relax shares is the way to go.
