just bought a used PSP and the guy told me that you need to have a psp game in the driv ein order to trick the system and let it play off of the memory stick.

What type of mod is this and can i change it to read straight from the stick instead of having to use a psp game to do it?

If it is running an m-33 firmware, hit the select button while on the XMB, and then by UMD ISO Mode, select Sony Np9660 or M33 driver. That should fix you up.

if its not m-33... go to qj.net and read how to update it to m33 from what you currently have...

Agreed, take it right up to 5.0 m33-4.
