I'm trying to setup my wireless adapter and having trouble getting the IP Address. I got my WEP key so now I'm connected to the router but it's saying that it can't find an IP address. Any suggestions or links to what I need to do next in order to get fully connected would be greatly appreciated. Remember, I'm a noob to all this stuff but I'm trying to learn.

if you arent getting an ip a few things may be wrong...
1. your wep key is incorrect. put it in a pc and test it to make sure its correct.
2. you have some settings somewhere confilcting.
3. your setup is on static and not dhcp (not likely)
so heres what you do. go into the xbox and check the network settings. make sure all settings are on DHCP. (Automatic) then plug in the wireless adapter and try and get an ip (using the CORRECT wep key) after that tell us what is up.

When I first tried setting up the adapter it couldn't find my router. I did a search on how to find my wep and this is the process I used: Start, Control Panel, Network and Internet Connections, Wireless Network Setup Wizard, Followed the prompts till it brought up Notepad with all my information including my WEP key. After that it connected to the the router but still isn't finding an IP address. Is that the correct way for me to find my WEP? If so, any suggestions as to how I can get it to find my IP address?
