My apologies if this has indeed been addressed before, but failed to find it in any faq or guide.
Are there any USB DVD-ROM drives capable of ripping 360 disks? If there aren't any that support it natively, has anyone tried using a kreon drive in an external enclosure?
I know XBC will see USB drives, just curious as to whether it's actually worth the attempt.

it depends on the usb enclosure, but most seem to work ok. Often read speed is limited to 4x which is still very good.
A few people reported problems, they changed the enclosure and it worked.

i have a sumvision usb and firewire enclosure that i bought from svp in the uk, it works perfectly with both firewire and usb.
it uses a prolific chipset, which as its name suggests is everywhere, many of the cheaper ones will use this chipset so you should be ok.
