what is the latest bios version i should use for an xecuter 2.6 on a 1.3 version xbox? will be wanting to install evolution-x on the xbox as well.

X2.5035 is the latest, and it will fit on an Xecuter 2.6. To get the best from it you need to put a config file on either C or E - the readme file explains it in more detail.

OK I've installed bios X2.5035 and now I dont get FRAG but when the xbox loads it says...

Xecuter2 Config Live Loading...

But doesn't read my discs. Goes to the normal xbox dashboard and gives me the error about the disc. I've tried several different brands and speeds from x1 to x4.

I've created a 105 MB dummy file and put the evoxdash.xbe and evox.ini in the ISO file.

I created the ISO file with WinISO and burnt it using ISOBurner ()

What could i be doing wrong?

Does the X2.5035 bios look for evoxdash.xbe?

Not that it matters. Xbox iso files are different - you have to make them with Qwix or something similar - but to do what you need there are ready made boot discs available. Download Slayers 2.7, burn the iso to a DVD-R with DVD Decrypter, and cold boot. You'll then be able to set up your disk and install a dash.
