Geez it seems this one was cursed

1. First, I am unable to open with notepad the .bat file for flashing of Benq and Samsung (the Liteon seems OK). OTHER THAN FOR LITEON Flahsing, I WOULD NOT USE THIS PACKAGE TO FLASH SAMSUNG AND BENQ, You should do Benq and Samsung with previous version of I prep until we get more feedback.

3. In order to have the start button working, you need to load all three firmware from the iXtreme package
4. Finally the commands to read the info from a drive are, and using your serial as ***** **** (in fact any number would do)
   • dSam ******* ***** (for Samsung drive)
   • dBen ******* ***** ( for a BenQ drive)
   • dLit ******* ***** ( for a Lite-ON drive)
   The intro screen says the read commands are rLit, rBen, rSam which is not what the .bat filled are called, most probably an update will come soon, but for the time being dSam, dBen and dLit will so just as good.

reading is fine for me ( dLit ) but i got error when fLit. it says " 1st argument [LiteOn] wrong" any idea?
i use via card.

i do not have any problem when using L-O-Eras and Dosflash.

I haven't tested it yet in DOS since I don't have a virgin 360 to do

What I don't get is the option to choose a COM port. I don't have a serial port on my PC so I have to use USB with the CK3 Pro. There is no COM3 option there and it says that it can't be a USB based device. Why not?

By the looks of it, i'll have to stay with flashing the traditional way with JungleFlash/DOS?

It was doing the exact same thing for me, I click start nothing happens.

I am using a LiteOn drive so I did not fill out any of the info for Samsung or BenQ.

I went back and tried it with putting the path for the IX15 firmware in for both the BenQ and Samsung (witch I am not using) along with the one for the LiteOn that I need and it formatted my drive and looks like it is going to work now.

O.K got it to work sort of.

Formated flash drive, read original fw from liteon, patched fw, erased fw from liteon, with no problems,

but when it goes to flash get error "1st argument [LiteOn] wrong" so I used dosflash and got E64 error when starting 360 (might of flashed lit-ofw.bin instead of lit-cfw.bin). flashed a second time with dosflash and everything is working great.

the prompts in dos say to type rLit to read lite on and fLit fo flash liteon but I could not find any rLit so I assumed the proper command is dLit?

dont know if any of the info will help any one but thanks a lot for this software it really did help me out a lot I spent about 12hrs today messing with this drive and it only took me about an hour of fussing once I got the newest version of iprep. only take me about 15 min now if I have to do it agin. I JUST LOVE VISTA 64 !!!!!!! whole process would of took me about 1 hour total if I was using xp I think. and not like this is my first drive I have flashed. just the first LiteOn drive.

prompt says:

should be

sorry for the noob question, but does this mean that I don't need to get a probe or anything else? Can I flash the lite-on drive just like any of the others now?

This thing has got me all confused.When I boot up pc with memory stick in I get a command prompt no more welcome screen,So I type in dosflash then it list all your drives i selected my samsung ms25 drive then hit r to read it,Is this correct steps to do cause i then just rebooted into windows and double checked my back up and it doesn't save it as a bin file,so i renamed it with a .bin at the end,then opened up tool box and I do have a key present,so now should i boot up memory card again then select erase then flash or what?Thanks

When you read the firmware make sure when it asks you for a name to name you backup firmware name it:

orig.bin

You dont need to erase the MS25 as the writing will automaticly just write over the original drive firmware

Now that you have your key present make sure you put it onto the root of your USB and remember the name of it, then go into dos [W] mode and write the new hacked FW

i have new iprep 101 v008.6 beta for lite-on, now I need how to backup firmware file of orig.bin (save bin) for iprep or dosflash? i don't know...like this:
DosFlash r (port #) 1 a0 1 4 c:/orig.bin 0 for backup lite-on...it is OK?
or
DosFlash w (port #) 1 a0 1 4 c:/orig.bin 0 for backup lite-on...it is OK?

This will create a bootstick with correct .bat files. For creating you only have to enter your port address. For LiteOn Key reading you have to useCOM port 1

When using dLit, does the liteon drive tray still have to be half open?

I notice dosflash is used for everything when writing and erasing liteon according to the FLit.bat. Does that mean L-o-eras was never needed?

i'm pretty sure it means that dosflash is capable of erasing the liteon drive. the liteon drive has to be fully erased before you can write to it.

I know dosflash can fully erase the liteon drive, but what is the point of l-o-eras.exe if dosflash can do it all?

UPDATE: The drive tray has to be half open. It even tells you when you run DLit.

I flashed a Benq yesterday with iPrep 8.6 to iXtreme 1.5. Worked like a charm.

Hello everybody,

I have retrieved my key identify and inquiry files off of my liteon but my computer hung and now I cant eject my drive anymore. I have read that this is common and all I need to do at this point is insert the key in Iprep and flash it (no need to eject drive)

My question is "where do I insert the file I have made" into Iprep?


Should be an easy answer I just dont want to get it wrong in the flash process.

how i flashed my Lite-on you need the serial cable to work with iprep and ck3 with prob

I had problem with the lite on with it freezing but got the key b4 anything else if you did then your still good, what i did was create the hacked fw with the key i got from jungle flasher
to get the key i used ck3 and jungleflasher search google on how to do it or go to

then i build an iprep 008 beta usb and replace the files go to usb drive letter then open folder CFW replace the litCFW on with the one you created with jungle flasher but make sure to renamed lite_CFW to LitCFW
so delete litCFW and copy and paste your Lite_CFW from jungle flasher and rename to LitCFW it should already be a .bin so dont put .bin after the name

then go to backup folder on usb then create a folder renamed it to the first seven digit serial number of the xbox usually behind the faceplate

then create folder in that folder and name it the last five digits of your 360 serial number once that is done place the fw you created in there too and name it LitCFW, it should already be a .bin so dont put .bin after name

restart pc connect with conectivity kit and probe have your drive upside down and open
leave switch off on ck3 until you boot into usb then switch it on make sure blue led not red and type

x's are your serial number in this format

Flit xxxxxxx xxxxx

as you push enter make sure your prob is in the right spot it will ask wich port its on usually the only one that has some info on put in the number for ex mine drive was number 6) port 1190 so i entered 6
it will earase your drive then ask what to do type

w

then enter

then it will ask the bin name type it while still holding the probe with one hand

LitCFW.bin

push enter and should do what it does and it will finish with a return code then you should b good to go

NOTE: there is an part i dont remember where but it will say to turn off and on the power fot the drive make sure you read everything twice the be sure but when it asks go head and do that with the probe still on point the green led should lessing its brightness thats wen its rdy to write
