guys my ds 3 acting weird. after taking a break after playing mgs, i noticed that my ds 3 direction always moving right on the xmb, try moving it left but always do the same thing so i couldn't do anything but staring the friends section. i open the ds3 but it seems that nothing is wrong n i try everything from reseting the controller/ps3. nothing happens. any idea? thx
RDC
That could be a problem with the D-pad or the Left Stick since they both move the selection in the main menu.

Which version of DS3 is it?

Also have you done any kind of mod at all to the controller or had it apart before?

If ya have another controller or can borrow one to get a game started you'll be able to tell if it's the D-pad or Stick causing the issue and then go from there.

1st thankie RDC for the reply, mine is the new one w/ mk11 battery. nope i didn't do any mod. and you're right i think the culprit is the left stick.

anyway i think i solved the problem, i just click n hold the left stick and moving it at 1, 12, 11, 10 n 9 o'clock directions and at the same time repeatedly pressing the left d-pad, pop mgs 4 in and move snake to the corner and leave him there so i could sleep.

when I'm awake my ds 3 is still normal. turn it off, and after 5 hors or so, i turned it on again [while i replying your post] ad it still normal love.gif .

hey RDC what do you think that causing my ds3 to act like that and if it happen again what should i do?

ps: sorry for my bad english.

It's really hard to tell, those controllers use a newer type of stick that should not ever do that kind of thing. If it happens again try to reset the controller, push that small button on the bottom of the controller, it's thru that tiny hole there at the top/right of the sticker. If that doesn't work turn the DS3 off, then turn the PS3 off and then either turn the power switch off (behind the PS3) or unplug the power cord and let it sit a couple minutes, then plug it back up and turn everything on again and see if it works then.
