I just purchased another 360 (first one just RROD) and it is a falcon.. infact its one number off from being a jasper. I just bought it at walmart. The question is should I return it if I can find a jasper there? Or are falcons just as reliable? I have been gaming on it for a week now.. so far no problems and it runs a lot cooler than my 06 console.
Anyone having any problems with their falcons? It does seem to run a lot cooler than my first one.

falcons are reliable enough imo.
you should not take it back if you have opened it and been using it, thats just unfair to ms, or the next person that walks in the shop as it may get tested and reboxed and then resold at some stores...
dunno what you mean by munbers and it being close to being a jasper as the only sure way to identify a jasper is the current raing on the xbox itself.
team numbers, lot and serial number are not accurate ways of finding one.
if you dont open the xbox you will have 3 years warranty on rrod anyway and remember jasper has not been tested long term yet, they could have the same issues as any other board or a totally new problem and its too early to say for sure.
in theory jasper should be more reliable but it needs time to test that theory, a good 12 months.

I agree with woody21_1, you shouldn't take it back if you've used it. If you didn't, your choice.
