So I recently flashed 2 360s, one was a Hitachi 59, one was a 79. I also have a 79 of my own. They both had constant unplayable disc errors, which was easy enough to fix by helping the disc spin up a few times. Problem is, almost all the burns that I play on my 79, love to lock up on the 59 and give unreadable disc errors. I'm fairly certain its not the laser since that was part of the routine maintenance I do on every Xbox I open.

Any ideas? If someone thinks it is the laser, where can I buy a new one?

I'm having exactly the same issue, backup worked for 2 days and now when it goes to load into a match i get disc unreadable error. I'm wondering whether rubber band mod will help this?

I'm using a Pioneer 216D and Verb 8X DVD+R DL
