Hi guys,

I play alot of converted m2ts HD video on my PS3 which I stream over my network. Which works great but it sometimes lag. So lately I'll either copy the file to my PS3 which takes forever since the files are almost 5GB or I'll just copy it to my 8GB USB key. Heres what I'm wondering.

To connect an external USB Hard Drive it has to be formatted into FAT32 so that the PS3 can see it which also means that theirs a file size limitation of 4GB.

So why is it when I copy my 5GB file to my 8GB USB key it reads fine, even though my USB key is FAT32. You would think that the external 500GB would do the same.

Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks

Are you sure it is formatted in FAT32? That file system doesn't support files over 4GB, so I'd like to know how you even copied a 5GB file to it, let alone how it was able to be read. I know Windows gives an error when attempting to copy over such a large file.
